It’s never too late. If you really want to be an architect, then age should have no bearing on your decision. Simply do what will make you happy in your career choice.
You can do it if you’re prepared and eager about a few things, like studying for hours each day, and living as a student when others your age are in a different world. Also accept the fact that not all firms will be open-minded when hiring you, even though by law they are allowed to discriminate. They’ll find loopholes. Also be prepared for rubbing elbows with people younger than you at school, then possibly later at work. You may have a boss younger than you. I am sure you have the life maturity to deal with this, and some employers will be smart enough to appreciate that in you. I went to law school in my late thirties. I had a bit of trouble finding work. I had to adjust to the age gap both at school and at work. But there is nothing like pursuing your real passion.
I was waiting this question a long time,you know!With all my respect I may estimate that there is always another bus.You don`t have to worry.If you cannot in 10 years you will be able in 100 years and if you are not lucky enough waiting for the next history periods of moon-earth coalition!
Snap out and go open a cantine you will get unlimited bucks,believe me!

I’d recommend looking for a job in or related to the industry; that way, when you get out you aren’t coming from handing out bags of fries and saying, “But I’m an Architect now!!”
Also, if you can find a company that will pay your tuition (Verizon pops to mind, but there are many others), that would be a major bonus!
I suspect that 42 won’t be as old in ten years as it seems now; it surely isn’t as old now as it was ten years ago to me.

Yes you may even have an advantage because the schools are pumping out architect with the same style and way of thinking.
You will have the training and years of life experience to shape a very distinct style. Good Luck.
