i’m a 30 year old man that has a felony on my record.my one life long aspiration is to become an architect…are there any restrictions about this field of work that would restrict me from becoming gainfully employed based on the fact of my conviction?

Look into school financial aid- I don’t think there are restrictions anymore, but that would be helpful. I work with people who are convicted felons and have proven themselves based on current behavior, not past behavior. Depending on what your conviction is for, you can achieve anything as long as people around you know that you are serious and trustworthy, working to change your behavior.
I don’t see why not but don’t plan on getting a job with Bechtel or KAPL(Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory).
