		<description>it's amazing to me how many people offer bad information on Yahoo Answers.  Commercial buildings in the US are NOT required to be non-combustible construction.  Construction types are determined by types of occupancy and size of building as determined by the International Building Code.  The reason why wood construction is so popular in the US is due to cost.  Wood construction is inexpensive, fast construction time, forgiving and readily available.  Sea Ranch by Charles Moore comes to mind for a famous wooden construction building.</description>
