My Son was taking Architecture in College recently (he finally switched Majors because he was going on three hours sleep, building all those projects..sheesh).
They take the plans, and have to come up with original ideas…
Then they make floor plans…
A house will consist of at “least” eight different plans…
Electrical
Plumbing
Heating
Floor Plans
Duct Work
And a lot more that I have forgotten what he showed me..sheesh!
Its not …Hey Architech guy, give me a plan for a building… and voila’ its there!
Aint gonna happen!
THEN, they, if they are good Architects, will make a MODEL of your home and show it to you!! (some are complete with furniture inside!)…
So, thats what they do every day…
And when you hire an Architech with an Engineer to build the house, they are making sure that the Engineer or General Construction Manager doesnt take short cuts, and are there to make “changes” that most home owners want done!!! (Really screws up the General Contractor when you do this :)…
