It really depends on your definition of “hard” and “good living”. IMO, most specialized programs are no where as easy as Liberal Arts programs. But it is definitely much easier than medical school. As for a “good living”, you should know that architectural firms do not pay well when you first come out of school. You won’t start making adequate money until after you get around five years under your belt. Then your pay scale dramatically goes up when you get registered. In order to get registered, you have to take and pass seven (eight in California) different exams.
