Why not try abroad (assuming you are in USA)?
The UK has great courses with a strong reputation for design.
Spain has excellent technical training.
And you will have excellent access to the Classical wonders of Rome and Greece and the amazing urban centres like London and Paris for study trips.
All the best,
Mike

The Cal Poly schools are good for that: Pomona and San Luis Obispo. Very hands on and practical programs, and you won't go broke participating in them. Cal Poly Pomona's landscape architecture program is second to none, if that's your forté.

UC Berkeley is also great.

Rice University in Houston, Texas is the cream of the crop, but you'll also pay for it.
